Our Policies
Everyone is welcome
Pack 9 welcomes every child in kindergarten through 5th grade and their family, without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, disability, or family circumstance. Cub Scouting is open to boys and girls alike.
If your child needs an accommodation to take part fully, tell us — email cubmaster@lowellpack9.org. We'd rather adapt an activity than have a Scout sit it out.
Youth protection
Pack 9 follows Scouting America's Youth Protection policies. Every registered adult leader completes Youth Protection Training and a criminal background check, and two-deep leadership means no adult is ever one-on-one with a Scout who isn't their own child.
Reporting a concern
If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 first. Nothing else on this page comes before that.
Scouting America requires suspected abuse to be reported to the authorities and to the council — it is never handled inside the pack. Any of the following can take a report, and you do not have to raise it with Pack 9 first, or at all.
- Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline — 1-800-482-596424 hours a day. The state takes the report and decides who investigates.
- Scouts First Helpline — 1-844-726-8871 (1-844-SCOUTS1), or scoutsfirst@scouting.orgScouting America's own 24-hour line, for anyone — including youth — who believes a Scout is at risk.
- Natural State Council — 501-664-4780, or NaturalStateBSA@scouting.orgOur council office, during business hours.
- Pack 9 — cubmaster@lowellpack9.orgIf you would rather start with us, we will make the report ourselves — we don't investigate concerns internally.
Telling a pack leader is not a substitute for a report to the hotline or the council. If you tell us, we will make that report — and we will keep your family's confidence while we do.
Photos on this site
When we publish photos so prospective families can see what Scouting looks like, we publish only images of children whose families have signed the photo release included in the Scouting America youth application, we favour activity and group shots over close-ups, and we never publish a child's name alongside their photo.
To have a photo of your child removed, email cubmaster@lowellpack9.org. We'll take it down promptly and won't ask why.
Personal information
This site collects nothing. There are no forms, no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking cookies — contacting us means sending an ordinary email. Rosters, advancement records, and family contact details live in Scouting America's systems, not here.
